         સરકારી સેવામાંથી નિવૃત્ત થયાં પછી શું કરવું અને કેવી રીતે સમય પસાર કરવો તે ઘણા અધિકારીઓ અને કર્મચારીઓને મુંઝવતો પ્રશ્ન હોય છે. જયારે ઘણા એવા પણ અધિકારીઓ અને કર્મચારીઓ છે કે, જેઓ ઘણાં લાંબા સમય સુધી સરકારમાં સેવા આપ્યાણ પછી નિવૃત્તિના સમયમાં પણ નવી ઇનીંગની શરૂઆત કરી આનંદથી જીવન પસાર કરતાં હોય છે. આજે આપણે એક એવા અધિકારીની વાત કરવી છે કે જેમણે આરોગ્ય ખાતામાં મેડીકલ ઓફિસર તરીકે કારકિર્દીની શરૂઆત કરીને મુખ્ય જિલ્લા આરોગ્ય અધિકારી સુધીની સફર પૂર્ણ કરી નિવૃત્ત જીવન ગાળી રહ્યાં છે. બનાસકાંઠા જિલ્લાના વાવ તાલુકાના ખીમાણાવાસ ગામે રહેતાં નિવૃત્ત મુખ્ય જિલ્લા આરોગ્ય અધિકારીશ્રી ર્ડા. અરૂણ આચાર્ય રિટાયરમેન્ટ પછી આરોગ્ય સેવા સાથે બાગાયતી ખેતી કરે છે. 

         ખીમાણાવાસ ગામે ફાર્મ ઉપર જ રહેતાં ર્ડા. અરૂણ આચાર્ય સવારે વહેલાં ઉઠી પોતાના ખેતરમાં વાવેલ ખારેકના રોપાઓની માવજતથી લઇ તેની સારસંભાળ પણ લે છે. આ વિસ્તારના લોકોને નજીકમાં જ સારી આરોગ્ય સારવાર મળી રહે તે માટે તેમણે નિવૃત્તિના થોડાંક જ દિવસો પછી વાવ-સૂઇગામ હાઇવે પર નાનકડી હોસ્પીટલ શરૂ દીધી. સવારે-૯.૦૦ વાગ્યે હોસ્પીટલ પહોંચી જઇ લોકોની સારવારમાં સતત કાર્યરત રહે છે. છેલ્લા ૪ મહિનાથી કોવિડ-૧૯ની પરિસ્થિતિમાં પણ આ નિત્યક્રમ જાળવી રાખી તેમણે આ વિસ્તારના લોકોની સારવાર કરી છે. બાગાયતી ખેતી કરતાં ર્ડા. આચાર્યના ફાર્મની મુલાકાત લેવા જેવી છે. ઉડીને આંખે વળગે તેવી સરસ ચોખ્ખાઇ, પંખીઓનો કલરવ અને ઇઝરાયેલી ખારેકના છોડ ફાર્મની સુંદરતામાં વધારો કરે છે. એક મુલાકાતમાં ર્ડા. અરૂણ આચાર્યએ જણાવ્યું કે, જયારે હું નોકરીમાં હતો તે સમયે મારા પિતાશ્રી સ્વ. હરજીભાઇએ વર્ષ-૨૦૧૦-૧૧માં ૫ એકર જમીનમાં ૨૬૦ રોપાઓ ઇઝરાયેલી બરહી જાતિના છોડ કચ્છના મુંદ્રાથી લાવી ખારેકનું વાવેતર કર્યુ હતું. એ સમયે એક છોડ રૂ. ૨૭૦૦ ની કિંમતમાં પડ્યો હતો. ખારેકની બાગાયતી ખેતી માટે એક રોપાદીઠ રાજય સરકારના બાગાયત ખાતા દ્વારા રૂ. ૧૨૫૦ લેખે સબસીડી મળી છે. ૮ X ૯ મીટરના અંતરે ખારેકના એક છોડને રોપવામાં આવ્યો છે. આ તમામ રોપાઓના થડમાં છાણીયું ખાતર નાંખી સંપૂર્ણ ઓર્ગેનિક પધ્ધતિથી જ ખારેક પકવવામાં આવે છે. આ વિસ્તાર રણને અડીને આવેલો છે. આ વિસ્તારના પાણી થોડા મોળા છે એટલે કે ૧,૪૦૦ ટીડીએસવાળું પાણી બોરમાંથી આવે છે પરંતું એ પાણી ખારેકની ખેતીને સારું માફક આવે છે. તેમણે કહ્યું કે, આ રણ વિસ્તારમાં પહેલાં તો ધૂળની ડમરીઓ જ ઉડતી હતી. હવે નર્મદાના નીર આવવાથી ખેડુતો ત્રણ ત્રણ પાક લેતા થયાં છે અને કૃષિ ક્ષેત્રે નવું પરિવર્તન આવ્યું છે. ર્ડા. આચાર્યએ કહ્યું કે, ખારેક વાવ્યા પછી ચાર વર્ષે આવક શરૂ થાય છે. ખારેકના છોડની વચ્ચેની જગ્યામાં આંતર પાક તરીકે બાજરી, જુવાર, જીરૂ વગેરે પાકો વાવીએ છીએ. તેમણે કહ્યું કે શરૂઆતમાં સમયમાં માવજતના અભાવે ધાર્યુ ઉત્પાદન મેળવી શકાતું નહોતું પરંતું હવે હું ફાર્મ પર જ રહેતો હોઇ તેની સારસંભાળ અને માવજત કરું છું.  એક છોડ પરથી ૨૦૦ કિ. લો. ખારેક ઉતારો આપે છે. જે અમે બજારમાં હોલસેલના ભાવે રૂ. ૫૦માં વેચીએ છીએ તથા છુટક ૮૦ થી ૧૦૦ રૂપિયાના ભાવે આ ખારેક વેચાય છે. તેમણે કહ્યું કે ખારેકના વાવેતરથી માતવર આવક થાય છે. તેમણે આ વિસ્તારના ખેડુતોને ખારેકની ખેતી કરી સારી આવક મેળવવા અનુરોધ કર્યો છે.

 

ખારેક શરીર માટે ખુબ ફાયદાકારક છે

         સ્વાદમાં ખુબ જ મીઠી આ ખારેક શરીર માટે પણ ખુબ જ ફાયદાકારક હોવાથી લોકો પુષ્ક ળ પ્રમાણમાં ખાય છે. ખારેકમાં રહેલા ઉચ્ચ પોષકતત્વોને લીધે શરીરમાં શક્તિનો વધારો કરે છે. ખારેકમાં વિટામીન એ, કે, બી૬ અને કેલ્શિયમ, આર્યન, મેગ્નેશિયમ, મેંગેનીઝ, પોટેશિયમ, સલ્ફર, કોપર, પ્રોટિન વગેરે જેવા મિનરલ્સ યોગ્ય પ્રમાણમાં હોય છે. ર્ડા. આચાર્ય કહે છે કે, ખારેકની એન્ટીઓકિસડન્ટ હોવાથી હ્રદયને સ્વસ્થ અને હાડકાંને મજબુત બનાવે છે, ખારેક ખાવાથી કબજીયાતથી રાહત મળે છે. આ ઉપરાંત એલર્જી સામે રક્ષણ, હરસમસામાં રાહત, સ્કીન, હેરફોલ સામે રક્ષણ સહિત મગજને પણ તંદુરસ્ત રાખે છે.

He reaches the hospital at 9.00 am and continues to work in the treatment of people. Dazzling cleanliness, chirping of birds and Israeli kharek plants add to the beauty of the farm. In an interview Rda. Arun Acharya said that when I was working, my father late. In the year-2010-11, Harjibhai brought 260 seedlings of Israeli Barhi species from Mundra, Kutch and planted Kharek in 5 acres of land. At that time a plant cost Rs. It fell in the price of 2700. For horticulture cultivation of Kharek per plant Rs. 1250 articles have received subsidy. One plant of Kharek has been planted at a distance of 8 X 9 meters. The trunks of all these saplings are fertilized with manure and cooked in a completely organic manner. This area is adjacent to the desert. The water in this area is a little rough i.e. water with 1,400 TDS comes from bore but that water is suitable for Kharek cultivation. He said that in this desert area earlier only dust clouds were flying. Now with the coming of Narmada Neer, the farmers are getting three crops and there has been a new change in the agriculture sector. Rda. Acharya said that income starts four years after sowing Kharek. We sow millet, jowar, cumin etc as intercrops in the space between the kharek plants. He said that in the beginning due to lack of maintenance, the expected production could not be obtained but now I live on the farm and take care and maintenance of it. 200 km from one plant. take Sometimes gives a discount. He has requested the farmers of this area to earn good income by cultivating Kharek.
